Donald H. Branstad, Born April 1, 1927 in Forest City, IA.

World War II vet serving in the US Army Signal Corps spending most of his two years in the Philippines teaching at radio school. Upon his discharge, he entered Iowa State College receiving a degree in electrical engineering 1951. He eventually moved to Minnesota and was employed by Honeywell and later, FMC, where he retired.

Longtime resident of St. Anthony Village, he is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Verneil M.; brother, Glenn Branstad of Benson-ville, IL; relatives and friends.

Visitation Thursday, Oct. 20 from 4-7 PM at Billman-Hunt Chapel, 2701 Central Ave NE, Mpls. Funeral service at Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson, IA on Saturday.
