Tracy Arnold Obituary

Tracy “Tre” Arnold (Hernandez) passed away in her sleep during the early morning hours of April 27, 2021 in Norfolk, VA at the age of 34.  She was a Navy veteran who worked as a mechanic on the H-60, but traded her naval career to become “Lady of the House” after the birth of her daughter in 2011.  Tracy loved her family and friends unconditionally and was a Tia to all the kids in her life regardless of lineage.  She was like a daughter to her aunts and uncles and a sister to her cousins. Tracy was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend one could ever hope for in their lives.  Her love for her family radiated from her every chance it got and she never missed an opportunity to support her husband and daughter in any of their endeavors, even if it meant volunteering long hours or staying up late to make things for the next day as they slept.  She was selfless, with a heart made of gold and a smile that lit up any room she stepped foot in.  She always helped whomever with whatever she could.  Even if she was busy, she would drop everything and make them her first priority.  Tracy was everything Minnesota as she loved all it had to offer and made it a point to be the epitome of “Minnesota nice”.  She was a native of Minnesota where she lived in both Minneapolis and, eventually, Lindstrom.  After graduating from Chisago Lakes High School and Navy bootcamp, she spent her next fifteen years between San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA.  Tracy had just been accepted to Metropolitan State University where she was intending on pursuing a degree in teaching as her intention was to foster a love of learning in other children as she did her own daughter.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine “Josie” Hernandez; grandparents, Jesse and Ina Hernandez and Frank and Mary Gonsior; Uncles, Jim Gonsior and Pat McGough; and cousin, Matt Deason.  Tracy is survived by her husband, Dustin Arnold; daughter, Kaylee Arnold; Goddaughter, Isabella Zeimet; father, Gary Hernandez; brothers, Joe and Thomas Hernandez; and Godfather, Tom Gonsior.  She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tracy's funeral will be on May 6, 2021 at Billman Hunt Funeral Home in Minneapolis.  The review is set for 1000 with an 1100 service.  Following that will be her interment at Fort Snelling cemetery, with military honors, at 1300.
