Tony “Hum” Chanthapanya 

Tony “Hum” Chanthapanya, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023, at the age of 33. He was born on November 30, 1989 in Minneapolis, MN. Tony will always be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family and friends.

He leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends who were touched by his warmth and compassion. He is survived by his father, Sisavanh; brothers, Gerry and his wife Nancy; Khane and his wife Jenny; sister, La; partner, Thong; stepson Kai; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by mother, Noy Chanthapanya. 

His infectious laughter and radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days. He had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved. Tonyfound joy in the simple pleasures of life; fishing, shooting hoops with friends, listening to slow jams and karaoke. He was a proud father figure to his stepson, superlative uncle to his nieces and nephews, and a prideful dog dad.
