Sharee Murphy-Hodge, 53, affectionately known as “Ree” or “Shorty,” passed away peacefully
on December 14, 2025. Sharee was known for her impeccable style, her "Boss" personality,
and her unwavering devotion to her family.
A graduate of Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Sharee dedicated her life to
helping others. She was a tireless advocate for the elderly and disabled, a sponsor within the
NA community, and a helping hand to the unhoused. She truly lived by the code of "getting it by
any means" and was the glue that held her loved ones together.
Sharee was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Steel, and her grandparents, John Lee
Edwards, Gertha Steel, Emma Murphy, and William Vaughn. Sharee’s legacy lives on through
her husband, Anthony Hodge; daughter, Tiara Jackson; her beloved granddaughter, Anaya
Jackson; her father, Anthony Murphy; siblings Dion, Anthony Jr., and Rachel; and her "bestie" of
30+ years, Jackie Mitchell, and dear friends Carlisa Paul, Tracie Smith-Head, and Gabby Smith.
Our family is currently navigating a very difficult season as we say goodbye to Sharee. Many of
you have asked how you can help, and your support would mean the world to us right now. If
you feel moved to contribute toward her memorial and final expenses, donations can be made
via the CashApp- $TeeCharice. We are so grateful for your prayers, shares, and kindness
during this time.
