Sandra J Bossany

Sandra Jean (Johnson) Bossany was born May 15, 1940, at Miller Hospital in Minneapolis.  Her parents were Elmer and Wanda (Schur) Johnson.  Her family moved to Fargo, ND, where it grew to include a brother (Richard) in 1944 and a younger sister (Deborah) in 1948. She grew up and attended school in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1958. 
After high school graduation she worked for a few years as a dental assistant in Fargo. Then she moved to the twin cities and worked for a number of years in the office of a pediatric clinic. Following that she worked part-time  in various office positions, including a collection agency, a parking lot, a skyway kiosk, and Target.
In 1976 she married Louis Bossany, and together they managed an apartment building on Central Avenue.  She and Louis had no children, but she was always close to her niece Andrea, and when Andrea married and had children, her great-nieces Allison, Kayla, and Brenna.
Louis died in 1994, and shortly after Sandy converted from Lutheranism to Catholicism.  She became  a faithful member of St Clement’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the VFW in Columbia Heights.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, an infant niece, Angela, and her younger sister Deborah.  She is survived by her brother Richard Johnson of Little Falls, her niece Andrea (Scott) White, and her great nieces, all of Fargo, ND.  She also is survived by seven cousins.
Sandy was 82 at the time of her death, but always enjoyed being with her many friends, visiting on the phone, going out to dinner, and enjoying life  She valued her independence and wanted to live life on her own terms.  She was great loved and will be greatly missed.
Interment in the Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, ND, will take place at a later date and will be a private family service.
