Obituary for Samuel Lee Skramstad
On December 18, 2023, Samuel Lee Skramstad tragically passed away.
Samuel was born in St. Paul on November 02, 1990, to Victoria Rosenquist (Aubin-Skramstad) as The
Apple of Her Eye, and Richard Skramstad, as his Sam-Bam Little-Man, he was their third child.
Sam grew up in Big Lake, Minnesota mainly under his mother’s roof with his siblings as well as spending
time in Wisconsin with his dad. He graduated from Big Lake High School. He was a compassionate
person who loved with his whole heart. He lived enthusiastically and with a zeal that is not commonly
seen. He was a lover of animals big and small and cherished moments of farm living. He lived a fast and
full life, while pausing to smell the flowers, gaze at art, or strike a pose like a world-famous sculpture.
Sam brought three beautiful girls into this world with April Marx. Lacey, Raina and Nadia Skramstad.
They were and always will be his gems, his light, his gifts from God.
Sam was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Aubin, his paternal grandparents, Rose
and Eldon Skramstad, and Uncle, Jerry (Gerald) Spiess.
The warmth of Sam’s hugs will last an eternity. The larger-than-life personality of Sam will live on in the
hearts of his grandmother, Carol Gentry (Monson-Aubin), mother, Victoria Rosenquist, father, Richard
Skramstad, brother, Robert (Bob) Skramstad, sisters, Amanda Swanson (Skramstad) and Cecelia
Skramstad, daughters, Lacey Jo Emyliana Skramstad, Raina Rose Skramstad, Nadia Jean Skramstad, his
beloved Samantha Weiss, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his abundant non-blood
brothers and sisters.
Sam- you were one of a kind, we cherish our moments with you, and we love you forever.
