Saku Watson

It is with profound sadness that the Watson, Mathies , Malekebu and Vincent families
announce the sudden death of their brother, father, grandfather, husband and son, Mr.
Saku Ansumana Watson.
This sad event occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his
residence in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Mr. Watson was predeceased by his parents, Mr. Moses Watson and Mrs. Tenneh Watson,
his stepmother, Mrs. Martha Watson, his siblings, Vinicius Freeman, Frank Watson, Korvah
Watson, Boima Watson and Martin Watson.
Mr. Saku A. Watson is survived by his wife, Dr. Helena Mathies Watson, his children, Mr.
Ansumana Watson of Maryland, USA and Ms. Tenneh Watson of Pretoria, South Africa, Step
children, Sandy, and Nathan Yancy, his siblings, Mrs. Winifred Faulkner (Larry), Mr. Morris

Burphy, Mr. Joseph Watson (Clavenda), Mr. Michael S. Watson (Venus), Mr. Siaffa Watson,
Mr. Peter O. Watson, Mrs. Doris Watson-Wreh (John), Mrs. Fata Watson Kieh (Samuel) all of
the USA; Mr. Kolako Watson, Mrs. Fatu Watson Gbee, Ms. Marie Watson, Mr. Nathan
Watson, Mr. Isaac Watson and Ms. Korto Watson all of Liberia, many nephews, nieces,
cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in the US and Liberia.
May the soul of our dear brother, father, grandfather, husband and son, Mr. Saku Ansumana
Watson rest in eternal peace and light perpetual shine upon him till we meet again on that
great resurrection morning! AMEN!
