Biographical Obituary of Otiem Kara Wure Gwanganalie  

Otiem Kara Wure Gwanganalie left us in this life on Monday Evening, October 11, 2021.  

Otiem Gwanganalie was 25 years of age. He was born on December 03, 1995 to Leeka  Gwanganalie and Rose Kara Atoo in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States of America. He was the sixth child and the fourth son to Rose Kara Atoo and the first child and son to  Leeka Gwanganalie.  

Otiem graduated from Middle School in 2010 and High School in 2014.  After graduating from Spring Lake Park High School, Otiem joined Anoka-Ramsey  Community College.  

Otiem loved and played basketball in high school. He received many awards including  trophies. His basketball teammates called him “OT”.

Otiem Kara Wure Gwanganalie left us in this life on Monday Evening, October 11, 2021. Otiem Gwanganalie was 25 years of age. He was born on December 03, 1995 to Leeka Gwanganalie and Rose Kara Atoo in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States of America. He was the sixth child and the fourth son to Rose Kara Atoo and the first child and son to Leeka Gwanganalie. 

Otiem graduated from Middle School in 2010 and High School in 2014. 

After graduating from Spring Lake Park High School, Otiem joined Anoka-Ramsey Community College. 

Otiem loved and played basketball in high school. He received many awards including trophies. His basketball teammates called him “OT”. 

Otiem enjoyed cooking, especially eggs for breakfast, which his Mom loved. Otiem always made jokes to make the family members happy during holidays, birthdays and other events. He loved his family. 

Otiem loved people and was loved by many people. He would place other peoples' needs ahead of his. He would offer help to anyone who needed help. He did that several times. That was the kind of person Otiem was. Otiem had a big heart. He was a man of the people. 

Otiem Gwanganalie is survived and will be deeply missed by his mother, Rose Kara Atoo, his father Leeka Gwanganalie; brothers Haniton Kara, Michael Kara, Simon Kara, and Loduku Gwanganalie; sisters Roise Kara, Elima Muhire, and Maria Gwanganalie; nephew Isaiah Kara; nieces Hellena Kara, Olivia Morris, Brenda Okon, Sakiya 

Fredrickson, Malaika Amenyitor, Roise Kara, Victoria Amenyitor, Ellie Muhire and Aurora Muhire; uncles, aunts and cousins in South Sudan (Africa). 

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65, NE, Fridley, MN 55432. The service will be Livestreamed starting at 10 am to St. Philip’s Facebook page at the following link: https://splcmn.org/watch-live/. The video will still be available on St. Philip’s page after the service for those who have missed the livestream. 

Otiem will be laid to rest at Sunset Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418 after the Memorial Service. 

Eternal rest grant unto Otiem O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.
