Lorraine (Basará) Partyka

Partyka (Basara), Lorraine 90 passed away at home on February 4, 2026. A lifelong resident of NE Minneapolis, she was an institution to those who knew and loved her, and her wisdom, experience, guidance, wit, and zest for life will be greatly missed. Survived by beloved son John (Janell Thorson) and grandson John Robert; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and family. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John, parents Andro and Stanislawa; siblings Sally (Floran) Babitz, Joseph (Josephine) Basara, Helen (Leo) Majewski, Gladys (James) Murray, Victor, Donald (Betty), and Bernice; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Tue. 2/17 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE, Mpls Visitation at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
