Joseph Allen Zmuda

Joseph Zmuda, a resident of St. Anthony, Minnesota, died unexpectedly at the age of 70 on June 20, 2026. While taking a break from yard work in his favorite chair, he breathed his final breath in the backyard with his loyal and faithful dog, Dolly, by his side.  Born on December 8, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joe was the beloved son of Gladys and Aloysius Zmuda. Joe often shared fond memories of growing up in Northeast Minneapolis, from living above Gladys’s dairy to attending All Saints Catholic School and Church, and frequenting Kramarczuk’s deli for his favorite Polish sausage.  Northeast was also the place where Joe met his loving wife of 30 years, Becky. Shortly thereafter, he welcomed two beautiful and adoring daughters, Tianna and Amelia, into his life. Joe began building a foundation for his family in St. Anthony, Minnesota, where he became well known and loved by the community. Whether it was his loud whistle or witty humor, his energy always filled a room with joy. Joe’s outgoing and charismatic personality led him to a career in various sales positions until he happily retired at the age of 68. During retirement, Joe continued to cherish life’s simple pleasures by devoting his time to family and friends and bringing positive energy to those around him.  Joseph will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Becky; his daughters, Tianna and Amelia (Wesley Kemming); his siblings, Joanne (John Vizanko), Patricia (Dan Ripka), Nancy Waters, Anthony (Linda Zmuda), and Pamela Zmuda; his brothers-in-law, Bruce (Kristie Brock) and Allen (Jeannie Brock); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Gladys Zmuda; his father-in-law, George Brock; his mother-in-law, Marcella Brock; and his brother, Michael Zmuda, and Michael's wife, Deanna Zmuda. Joe’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 1st at St. Charles Borromeo catholic church. The funeral mass will begin at 11:00am with the visitation an hour before.
