Jalen Isaiah Christopher Patterson went to be with Jesus on January 2, 2025, at the age of 29, Jalen was born in Winfield Alabama on March 24, 1995. He was a kind soul who loved to smile, laugh, give hugs, and encourage others. Jalen was a chief in the Army, where he received a National Defense Service Ribbon. His love for cooking (and eating!) extended beyond his Army career. He also loved to sing, particularly in falsetto. Jalen was an EMT at North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale; he loved to help and encourage others. He was a man of faith and was a member of The Gathering Community Church in Robbinsdale. Jalen was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, boyfriend, and friend.
He is survived by his girlfriend Arieanna Johnson, his mother Shawann Patterson and his father Chris Patterson (Christine Patterson), brothers Marcus and Darion Patterson (Zion, Jeremiah, amd Samaria), and several extended family members, including grandparents Charles & Alice Ruffin and Daniel & Eveline Patterson. He is survived by several uncles, aunts and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
A celebration of Jalen's life will be held on January 13th, at The Gathering Community Church, 3620 43rd Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422. The visitation is at 10 am, and the funeral will be at 11 am. Following the funeral, all are invited to join in a repast lunch at The Gathering.
