Gary Lawrence Holmquist

Holmquist, Gary L age 67 of NE Mpls. Passed away on 5/15/2025.

Gary had a big heart and loved his family, especially his children, sisters and 4 special grandchildren, who called him "Papa." He was a friend to many and always generous with those around him. Gary also loved his little buddy, Coco his pup.

Gary was proud to have served as a U.S. Marine and member of the MN Veterans Association.

Survived by daughter Monica (Billy); sons Shawn, Joey and Ryan (Tony); sisters Ginny (Jim), Lori; grandchildren Mikayla (Tyler), McKenzie, Melody and Michael;  nephews Joe, Brian, Johnny & Jason; many other loving relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by Father Gerald Holmquist; Mother Sandra (Step Father Richard) Johnson; brothers Jeff & Dickie.

Memorial service Monday June 9th, 12 PM with gathering starting at 11 AM at Billman Hunt Chapel 2701 Central Ave NE. Burial Fort Snelling 2 PM
