Gabriel London

London, Gabriel (Gabe) Nguyen Age 10, of Richfield, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his sleep during the early morning of Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was the light in every room that he entered and provided the melody to every song. Simply knowing him made us all better people. Despite the multiple challenges handed to him, Gabriel loved his life and expressed this through unfiltered glee greater than any word could have done. The ethos that surrounds him is devastated by the loss of his physical body but continues to love and cheer on his soul, as he loved and cheered for us. We are comforted that he has been released of the limitations of this world, both his own and the imperfections of others when they were uncomfortable with disability. Gabriel was particularly fond of laughing, singing, dancing; of his school-aged friends, talking at school while his teachers tried to teach, discussions about science, being outside, charming those who he would meet, Miracle League baseball; and of watching sports with his parents while being fair when their teams played one another. He was the epitome of his favorite color, orange: confident, brave, and naturally social. Gabriel entered this world after a pregnancy filled with fear and worry, which dissipated soon after his birth because of his own determination to live. Even early on, it was clear that this child chose his parents and that his parents chose him.  He is survived by his best friend, his Daddy, Hunter London, Jr. and his eternally devoted Mama, Ruby Nguyen; his adoring grandparents who sang everyday with him, their little Buddy, Robert Berg and Bich Ngoc Nguyen; his grandparents who have shown him God’s love, Hunter London, Sr. and Mary Darlene Gregory London; uncle Andrew Tuan Nguyen; aunt Stephanie Ellington (Darian); and cousins Collin Lejano and Hunter Lejano. He is preceded in death by his grandfather who will be thrilled to meet him, Loc Nguyen. In addition he is surrounded by friends-who-are-family, too many to count. Because of COVID, a private ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Details of a live-stream videocast will be available at www.billmanhuntfuneralchapel.com. A celebration of Gabriel’s life will be held every day in the hearts of those who adored him, as well as publicly in a celebration post-pandemic.
