Florence "Tootie" Fellman

Florence “Tootie” Fellman, age 101, of Red Wing, Minnesota passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, at Eagan Pointe Senior Living in Eagan, Minnesota.  Florence was born on March 12, 1923, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Ella (Alpers) Fellman.  She grew up and graduated from Red Wing High School ln 1941.

Florence worked at St John’s Hospital as an accountant in Red Wing for several years.  Then she moved to Minneapolis and worked for 23 years at Federal Cartridge as an accountant until she retired.  She was active as a parishioner and treasurer at St. john’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.  Florence also enjoyed traveling and bowling.

Florence is survived by a special niece, Linda (Robert) Kollasch; other several nieces, nephews and family members.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Harry ‘John’ (Evelyn) Fellman, Maynard (Lela) Fellman, Grace ‘Dolly’ (Jerry) Huron, Evelyn (Bob) Young, LaVerne‘Sonny’ (Patricia) Fellman, and Roland ‘Snooks’ (Elene) Fellman.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Eagan Pointe Senior Living and to Grace Hospice of Minneapolis for the care and compassion shown toward Florence.  

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20th, 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 610 Broadway St. NE, Minneapolis MN 55413.  Lunch to follow.  Interment will be in Red Wing at St. John’s Cemetery after lunch.  Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church. 

Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
