Eugene Jerome Williams

Eugene J. Williams affectionately known as “Peanut” to family and
friends was born on September 14, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to the late
Roy Williams Sr. and Lillie Pearl Williams. He peacefully made his
transition home on August 14, 2022.

Eugene embodied the true meaning of commitment, loyalty and hard
work on February 11, 1994 Eugene married Dora Sneed Williams. He
worked many years as a transportation driver for the disabled, Eugene
enjoyed going on fishing and road trips with his family and friends. He
was the life of the party at family functions dancing, singing, telling
crazy jokes and stories. Eugene cherished and enjoyed spending time
with his grandchildren, he always went above and beyond to make
them happy. He worked hard for his family making sure they were
never without, and he always looked out for others lending a helpful
hand to everyone he would give you the shirt off his back in a
heartbeat! Eugene taught his children to always put God first, to be
strong and to always look out and be there for one another.
Eugene was preceded in death by his mother, father and niece
Cheyenne Cox. Eugene leaves to cherish his beautiful memory; Wife
Dora Sneed Williams, Daughters: Tawana Williams, LaKesha Sneed,
Hannah Williams, Raniya Williams; Sons: LaVar Williams, LaMar
Manning and Romere Williams; Sisters: Carnetta (Varman) Givens,
Fatina Williams; Brothers: Roy Williams Jr., Marvin Williams, Terry
(Victoria) Williams; 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; best
friend/brother: Willie (Rebecca) Macon; special and dearest cousin:
Yalonda Morris; daughter in-love Kyra Hearst
Eugene also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins (who
affectionately called him “Uncle Peanut” also) and friends.
