Elisa Joey Waukazo
04/10/1990 - 05 03 2026
Elisa Joey Waukazo, 36, of Roseville, passed
away suddenly at home on May 3, 2026. Born on
April 10, 1990, in Minneapolis to Debra Waukazo,
Elisa brought warmth, humor, love, and
compassion
into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to
know her.
Elisa attended school in Minneapolis and
graduated from South High School in 2008.
During high school, she worked at MIGIZI
Communications, where she discovered her
passion for technology and computers, a passion
that would shape her career and allow her to help
countless students and school staff.
After earning her Associate’s Degree in
Computer Networking from DeVry University,
Elisa dedicated herself to supporting schools and
communities through technology. She worked as
a Technology Specialist at Bdote Learning
Center and later with Eden Prairie Public
Schools, where her patience, intelligence, and
kindness made a lasting impact on students and
coworkers alike. Elisa was always willing to roll
up her sleeves and help.
To know Elisa was to know acceptance, love, and
laughter. Though she faced many challenges
throughout her life, she met them with resilience,
an unforgettable smile, wonderfully corny jokes,
and an energy that brightened any room. She
had a gift for making people feel seen, valued,
and welcome exactly as they were.
Outside of work, Elisa loved spending time with
friends playing Dungeons & Dragons, going to
the gym, and diving into video games. Whether
she was laughing around a game table, helping
someone troubleshoot a computer problem, or
attending band concerts and graduation parties,
Elisa gave her whole heart to the people she
loved.
Elisa is survived by her parent, her beloved twin
sisters, Sora and Katrina Waukazo, her
grandmother Jessica Waukazo, aunts, uncles,
cousins, cherished friends, who will miss her
deeply and carry her memory forward with love.
Please join us in celebrating Elisa’s life and the
love she shared with all who knew her. In lieu of
flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be
made to support Sora and Katrina Waukazo as
they look toward their futures.
