OBITUARY
Earlene was born on April 15, 1955 to Earl and Willie Mae Jackson. She was the baby girl out of 11 children. She was raised in Chicago, IL. Earlene became a mother early in life, so she faced a lot of challenges. But this did not stop her from becoming a Hair Model, for LaTese, a popular Hair Salon in Chicago, she studied and trained to become an LPN. She also served three years as a cook in the United States Army, at Camp Lejeune, NC. When she moved to MN, she worked as a PCA and Security Officer, Her last employment was with the Red Cross, as a Security Personnel and Front Desk Clerk. Earlene enjoyed helping others and loved all. She had a heart of GOLD!
Earlene was devoted to staying connected with her children and grandchildren. She loved to love and to be loved, by family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards with family members and a host of friends. Earlene experienced some hard times, but when it was time to shine, she stepped up to the plate.She always had a great story to tell, that would have you laughing until you cried. Earlene gave her all!! There are so many stories we can tell you about the kindness of Earlene. She once saved a little boy who was stuck in a tree, in front of their building. She climbed from her porch to help him, they both fell, she fell on her back, the little boy was not harmed.
Earlene is preceded in death by her parents: Willie Mae and Earl Jackson. Three Brothers: James, Clarence and Nathanial Tyron Jackson. Two Sisters: Anitha Jackson-Frazier & Yvonne Jackson. Three Uncles: Earl, Milton and Maurice Wiliamson. Two Aunts: Geneva Williamson & Sylvia Hegwoods-Phelps. Nephew: Clevon Jackson, Randy Jackson. Great granddaughter: Jay'Anna
Earlene is survived by her longtime friend and loving husband Michael (Cisco) Wright. Her children, Novell, Dionna (Courtney), Douglas
(Alaysha), Cherie. Her Grandchildren, Desiree, Courtney II, Jia, Jada, Jelicia, Zianna, Aniessa, Antoinatt, Novell Jr, Fa'Beyona, Douglas Jr, Ashiya, Chayil, Kairo, Kailo, Tony, Breanna. Her Great Grandchildren, Ja'zyah, Xa'Nya, Zha'Nae, Paris, Ja'Nyla, Zariah, Za'Hari, Gianni. Brothers: Larry, Frank, and Ernest (Marsha) Jackson. Sisters: Pamela Birden, Sharmane Ford, Carolyn (Larry) Askew. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Earlene passed away with her loving husband Michael by her side, on March 6, 2023. She will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts. Her wish for us would be to have the word of God in our hearts and build a personal relationship with him. She always said that God has NEVER failed her. Don’t be afraid to hug the ones you love.
