Douglas Henry Jarosh - Obituary
August 16,1937- June 10, 2023
Loving Husband and Father, Douglas H. Jarosh, passed away in the morning with his loving daughter by his side. He was a highly math-skilled person who was a Master Machinist in the Hobber or gear cutting industry, creating one-off parts requiring high precision and no mistakes. He was a deeply spiritual Catholic man that loved to sing in the Choir. Two hobbies dominated his off time: An avid fisherman having caught a lifetime of lunkers and many smaller ones to feed his family on Catholic meatless Fridays. An accomplished Trumpeter (and anything with valves) who played with the Minneapolis Police Marching, Concert, and Big Band for 47 years including St. Lawrence band starting from grade school into adulthood. He would also sit in on side gigs, sometimes even at the old Nye’s Polonaise. A competitive card player that loved to play cribbage and 500. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Joan Cecile Jarosh(nee: Millis); survived by Sons Steven Earl, Kenneth Samuel, and daughter Cynthia Louise (Charles) Gallagher. Grandchildren Amber Cecile, Jeremie James plus many nieces and nephews.
