Demetrius lee Whitfield

Demetrius Lee Whitfield was born January 25, 1963 to General and Jeanne Whitfield in Minneapolis, MN.

He attended North High School. He worked on many jobs over the years, but spent most of his career at Quest Engineering where he worked as an Engineer until the onset of his illness. He was an accomplished and a dedicated team member, receiving numerous accolades and certificates recognizing his accomplishments during his tenure at Quest Engineering.

Demetrius had an exciting and full life and was blessed to do the things he desired and enjoyed. 

Though not always in an official capacity, he was recognized as a leader amongst his large family of friends. 

He had a generous and kind nature, and was known for his witty humor; he really enjoyed making people laugh. 

His success in a variety of business ventures kept cash in his pockets that he always was willing to share with a friend or family member in need. 

Demetrius peacefully made his transition on August 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father; General Whitfield, sisters Dawn Whitfield and Delicia Felder. Leaving to cherish his memory: mother, Jeanne Huff, step-father Charles Huff, sons, Demetrius Gilbert-Whitfield and Justin Gilbert-Whitfield, grandsons, Demetrius Gilbert Jr., and Aidan Gilbert, brothers, Duane Whitfield, Douglas Whitfield, Darrin Whitfield, Dackary Whitfield, Gene Whitfield, sister Dana Whitfield, two step brothers and two step sisters, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, and an extended network of family friends.

Demetrius will be greatly missed and always loved.
