Daniel John Hastings

Daniel John Hastings, born September 13, 1956, was at the young age of 65 when he
unexpectedly passed on Sunday January 16, 2022. Heaven has truly gained another angel.
Daniel was known for his respectable service in the Air Force as well as his life changing
cooking. Daniel, also known as Fathead, will continue to hold a special place in all of our
memories. Daniel has now been reunited with his mother and brothers, Arlene Hastings, Brett
Hastings, and Jimmy Hastings who preceded him in death.
Mourning his passing, Daniel Hastings is survived by his wife Melinda Hastings, his father Butch
Hastings (Wendy), His children Ryan Hastings, Shaun Hastings, Brittany Hastings, Cameo
Velisek, Scott Velisek, grandchildren, Dominique Smith, Destiny Franks, Jaimee Velisek,
Malayah Johnson, Ruby Velisek, Rosie Velisek, Twatala Sherwood, Sister Lizzy(Dan) Hake,
and lastly his precious baby Ginger.

gathering in celebration of Daniel Hastings at the Richfield VFW. The gathering will follow
directly after Fort Snelling. It will also be outside of the Minneapolis jurisdiction, meaning proof
of vaccination is not required. Please join us in celebrating his precious life at the following
services.
