Clancy E Jones

Clancy “CJ” Jones, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the age of
56. Clancy was born on February 5, 1968, and was the oldest child to
Janice and Atlas Jones. He grew up on Garfield Street in Gary, Indiana
and attended Horace Mann High School. After attending Indiana State
University, for football, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, around the time
of the 1991 Halloween blizzard, where he resided and raised his two
boys.
Clancy had a love of motorcycles, cars, and sports. CJ enjoyed attending
and sideline coaching sporting events & games in which his sons played.
Preceded in death by his father, Atlas Jones and his mother, Janis
(Brantley) Jones. Survived by sons, Devin Morris Jones and Dominic
Michael Jones, his brother Trevis (L’Tanya) Jones and his sister Dana
Jones, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, countless cousins, and
dear friends. We will carry fond memories in our hearts until we will be
reunited in heaven.
A funeral service will be held at Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel, 2701
Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN on Thursday, July 11. Visitation at
1pm with funeral service at 2pm. A Celebration of Life gathering will
follow at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
