Barbara Hill Obituary

Barbara Ann Hill was a dynamic, unique, beacon of light that touched, changed, and lit up everyone's lives in unexplainable ways. 

 

The Birth-She was born in Chicago, IL on 12-12-56 to Francella and Johnnie Williams, and was lovingly surrounded by her seven siblings: James Bucker, Marilyn Oates (deceased), Johnnie Jr Williams (deceased), Melvin Williams, Francella Williams, Dante Williams, and Jahmaul Williams. 

The Bible and Believer-She was rooted in the Bible, growing up in the church and living her life grounded in Christian Faith She also was heavily involved in the community through church affiliations. 

The Blessing-She was truly a blessing to everyone she met, always giving, helping,  and pouring love into others without expecting anything in return. 

The Bride-She was a devoted bride, and wife. She was happily married to Tommie James Hill for 41 years, until his passing. 

The Babies-She was a protective and caring mother to her two children, Amber and Jamie Hill raising them with a foundation of faith, strength, and unconditional love. Her nurturing spirit also extended to her nieces and nephews-Lovell, Dee, Keke, Monica, TJ, Blaine, Enoch, Elijah, Alicia, Lashonda, Jay Mack, Little J, Jahleel, Xion, Kahlea Keara, Angelina just to name a few. She loved each and every one of them. She had a special bond with Monica's children, especially Monet. 

The Bookworm- Education was her passion, and she pursued knowledge with unwavering dedication. One of her proudest accomplishments was earning her Doctorate from St. Thomas University. 

The Boss and Business Woman-She was a true boss and businesswoman, with a sharp mind for real estate, finance, and investing. She had a successful career in IT auditing. Her passion led her to acquire multiple properties, while her dedication and expertise in her profession built a lasting legacy of hard work, determination, and vision.

The Baker-She was a gifted baker, able to whip up cakes, cookies, and brownies with her eyes closed. Her kitchen was often filled with the sweet aroma of her creations, and every treat she made was baked with love. 

The Brave One-She was a brave one, facing every health challenge with courage, grace, and unshakeable strength. No matter the battle, she met it head on. 

The Baby Boy- One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to Parker James Hill. She prided herself on being supportive, fun, and a loving presence in his life, cherishing every moment they spent together. 

The Beauty and Bright Light- She was a true beauty, not just in appearance but in spirit, she was a funny, fun, helpful, and creative bright light who touched us to our very core. She lived with others in mind, always thinking ahead, and always leading with love, and always showing us the best parts of life. 

The Bonds-She had so many special bonds with so many people, uncles, aunts, cousins,  friends, multi-city church member friends, her brother in laws. None of those bonds will ever be forgotten.
