Alphonso "Al" Copeland JR 43 years young,  of Brooklyn Center MN. Passed away on December 21st 2019 fighting a very aggressive and rare cancer he was surrounded by his wife and children when he took the Lord's hand to go home. Al was born on August 4th 1976 in Chicago Illinois he is the eldest son of Vanessa (Ramon Sr ) Harris of Brooklyn Center,  MN. and Alphonso Sr. (Cecilia) Duncan if Dixon, IL. Together his parents made a beautiful blended family which included Three Brother's: Lee Washington of Chicago Illinois, Ramon Jr. (Anita) Harris a Brooklyn Center Minnesota, and Aaron Duncan of Dixon Illinois. He also had three beautiful sisters,Valeta (PJ) Moore of Plymouth Minnesota, Andria Duncan of Chicago Illinois and Alexis Duncan of Grand Rapids Michigan. In Al's Early Childhood years he lived in Dixon Illinois where he attended school and made quite the impact on his friends there. We are told to this day that people still know his name because of his kind heart. Later on for high school I'll move to Minnesota where he attended Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope Minnesota. Here he made friendships that turned into brotherhood's and lasted a lifetime. It was in 1996 when L met his wife Andrea Larson. In 1998 Al and Andrea became an official couple. They started their relationship off with being blessed with four beautiful children Whitney (Drew) Wojchik, Destiny Larson-Copeland, AJ Copeland, and Anastasia Copeland. On July 19th 2008 Alphonso and Andrea United their love in marriage. 5 years ago they were blessed with their first granddaughter Ella Mae then their second granddaughter Zoe and their third granddaughter Arabella.
Al was a very hard-working man and loved his job and his co-workers at Estes transportation in New Brighton Minnesota where he was a dock worker for 2 years. In his free time he enjoyed listening to all types of music. He enjoyed making beats and producing songs through his own music company called "Lab1" Productions : where he had about 10 artists that he worked with. When he was board and set out on a mission  he would enjoy building speaker boxes, hooking up car systems, snow sleds, and tree houses. But his favorite time was being with his wife and kids enjoy not only watching his kids play sports but also coaching them in football baseball and fast-pitch. Enjoyed baking cookies and cakes with his littlest baby Anastasia. He enjoyed road trips with his family and absolutely loved taking his wife Andrea out on dates. Al enjoyed taking the occasional drive just around town with his friends bumping his system in his truck as loud as he could. Al was not only a Christian but he was a man of GOD that was humble, kind hearted, with a Beautiful  Bright soul. he would give anyone his shirt off his back. He believed that Jesus died for our sins and that he and his family would meet again in heaven. He was the most perfect husband the greatest father the best Grandpa a loving son and brother a nephew and cousin too many, an Uncle to Nephews and Neices; and the friend that so many cherished and wish they had.
Special thank you to North Memorial Cancer Center and North  Memorial hospice,  that helped in the care of Al's Journey, His Team was Wonderful and truly cared about him and his family.
