Steve Larson

After a hard fought battle with cancer, Steven M. Larson, 64, of Northeast Minneapolis passed away August 15th, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 24th, 1955 to Robert and Maxine Larson. Growing up Steve was a very accomplished athlete, excelling at baseball. Sports were always a substantial part of his life, continuing to play baseball and softball for many years after school. Steve also enjoyed basketball and was a member of a world champion broomball team.

Steve was an amazing father to his three children, twin boys Ryan and Josh, and daughter Annie. Coaching their baseball and softball teams growing up and never missing any of their sporting events.

Later in life, Steve dedicated most of his spare time to taking care of his aging parents, enjoying time with his children and grandchild, watching Minnesota sports teams, fishing and golfing.

Steve is survived by his son Ryan (Mariah), son Josh (Genna), daughter Annie, granddaughter Lux, brother Bob (Deb), sister Cathy, brother-in-law Mike, nieces, nephews, and life long friends. 

Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Maxine Larson and sister Linda McCoy.

Words cannot describe how much Steve will be missed. Genuine, kind, funny, and loyal, he was a rare breed who could get along with anyone. He was loved by many and proud to have been born, raised, and spend his life in Nordeast.

A celebration of life will be held for friends, family and loved ones at Billman Hunt Funeral Chapel, Wednesday August 21st at 4pm, located at 2701 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55432. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a lung cancer foundation or enjoy a Twins game with loved ones.
