Savannah L Phillips
October 27, 1943 ~ November 14, 2018 (age 75)
Age 75 of Minneapolis, quietly passed away November 14, 2018 at Good Samaritan in Robbinsdale, MN. She was born in Little Rock, ARK to Richard Johnson & Letora Conley/Winters and grew up in East St Louis, ILL. After graduating in 1959, she met and married Russell Daniel Sr (Deceased), with whom she raised their children in E St. Louis.
Ma’ Savannah worked in healthcare, and for the Lord, Jesus as a prayer warrior until she suffered complications from a stroke and diabetes. She was a loving and generous woman, and advent churchgoer who conducted Bible study at the assistant living facility where she dwelled. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family, friends and grandkids. She was proud of her heritage and spent many years researching her family genealogy.
She is preceeded in death by grand parents, Nona Jordan-Talley, Phillip and Cella Johnson; parents, Richard Johnson and Letora Conley-Winters; and sister, Monique Harper.
She is survived by her children: Charlesetta Johnson, Mary (Author) Burnham, Russell (Sano) Daniel, Burnett (Guy) Dickerson, Edwin (Tiffany) Daniel, Valarie Jones (deceased), Charles (Portia) Cherry, Christopher (Melva) Cherry, Tobias (Victoria) Cherry, Timothy (Elizabeth) Cherry, Russell Harper, Roderick Harper, Charlene Dickerson, Norma Harper, Eula Harper, Anthony Harper, and host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, aunts: Ruby, Eddie Bee, Caroline Faye, uncle: Michael Talley, and host of relatives in numerous states.
Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Ma’ Savannah are invited to her funeral at Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel, located on 2701 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418 from 10AM to 1:30PM on Friday, November 30, 2018.
