Mary Rose Cotroneo (nee Iaquinto),

of New Brighton, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on March 13, 2018. She was 94 years old. Mary was born on June 15, 1923 in Minneapolis, to parents, John and Maria Iaquinto.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Giovanna D'Agostino, Connie Haugen, Rose Holcomb, Sam Iaquinto; and husbands, Carl Lehna and Vincenzo Cotroneo.

She is survived by her sons: Anthony Miceli (Linda), John Lehna, Mark (Molly), and Dominic (Kristine); sisters, Elvira Iaquinto of St. Paul, Angie Murray of Walnut Creek, CA; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Mary worked at many different jobs, culminating with the Minnesota Department of Health and as part owner of Vincenzo's Restaurant with her late husband, Vincenzo, along with Maria and Joe Cecere. Prior to moving to New Brighton, Mary lived in Northeast Minneapolis' Little Italy neighborhood, where she was active in community and church events. She served as the chair of the Fall Festival and Feast of the Blessed Mother and procession, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and was named its Grand Marshall many times. She loved parties and being surrounded by family and friends. Her generosity knew no bounds and she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. 

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10th at her beloved church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, with visitation one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
