Joseph David Vincent, "Popeye", of Minneapolis, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was 87 years old.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise.  He joined her heaven to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary.

Joseph was born on November 9, 1929 in Minneapolis to parents, Joseph and Goldie. He was an Army veteran and he worked for 37 years as a switch foreman for the Great Northern Railroad.

Joseph is survived by children: Kathy Phaneuf, Steve (Sheila) Brandt, Diane (Bo) Heath, David Vincent; grandchildren: Andrea (Erik), Jake (Neysha), Steve, Nichole (Jody), Melissa (Aaron); 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Goldie (Leonard) Sorbel and Delphine Charlton; nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

Dad/Grandpa Joe was a strong railroad man who became as soft and sweet as can be with his great-grandchildren.  A true family man.

He will be greatly missed and years of memories will be cherished by his family and friends always.

Private family services were held with burial at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
