Charles Rohnen Hird, of St. Paul, MN; formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017. 

Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann; and his parents, Nell and Roy Hird.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Dierssen; his nephew, Kevin Maguire; several nieces; other loving family and friends.

Charles graduated from the University of Notre Dame and was a proud member of the U.S. Navy, Submarine Division during WWII. He lost his father at a young age and took over the duties as man of the house continuously helping his mother live a comfortable life until her death. He was an outstanding and loving son.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8th at Lumen Christi Catholic Community in St. Paul. He will be buried with full military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
