Veriata Gbee Poneys-Teah

 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the Poneys and Teah families announce the home going of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, Veriata Gbee Poneys-Teah. 

This sad event occurred on Tuesday June 13th 2017, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Mama Teah, as she was affectionately called,  leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Mr. Mackenzie Teah, her children: Rashida Onyekwelu (Emmanuel), Lynda Teah-Kemayah (Saah), Cynthia Munah Teah-Udogu (Osita), and Luna Dantu Teah, her siblings: Mesta, Garvis, Caroline, Harold (Bigboy), Thurlow, Lionel, Celestine, Padma, George, Ambrose, Faustina, Trokon, Sinnee, Amos, Korto, and Ester, seven grandchildren and a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.  

Mama Teah also leaves to mourn her loss, many more children the she loved and nurtured over the years, though not biologically related to her; but, will forever consider her their mother, grandmother and aunt.
