Michelle Joplin, of Minneapolis, MN; formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2017. She was 63 years old.

Michelle was born to Ms. Verlee Rodgers Joplin and McKinley Morganfeild "Mr. Muddy Waters." She was raised by Ms. Ethel Lightle and Mr. Verlon Lightle. Michelle attended Horton Elementary School and Phillips High School. She had a very exciting life and was loved by many. 

Michelle now joins in heaven her son, Parrish Joplin; parents; step-parents; siblings, David Joplin, Nathaniel Joplin, and Shaun Joplin. 

She leaves behind her son, Pierre (Loren) Joplin of Minnesota; her 2 grandchildren, Talisa (Parish) Joplin of Atlanta and Amari (Pierre) Joplin; siblings: Victoria of Chicago, Jessie Wadeen Joplin of Florida,  Meadie Joplin and Walter Fields of Chicago, Gene Joplin of Chicago, William Joplin of Chicago, Isaiah Joplin of Minnesota; step-sister, Tiffany Lightle of Minnesota; step-brother, Charles Brown of Minnesota; step-mother, Myra Lightle. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and cousins and close friends. 

Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24th at Billman~Hunt Funeral Chapel.
