Marilyn Florence Leitschuh, "Merry," of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Catholic Eldercare on Main. She was 88 years old.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Mark; her parents; and 3 siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Louis; children: Gregory (Joanne), Joan (Paul) Gaumnitz, Patricia (James) Wiersgalla, Don, John, Mary Lou (Matthew) Knopp, Robert and Terrie (Mark) Schommer; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother; many nieces and nephews, an uncle, cousins, other loving family and friends.

Merry was famous for her chocolate chip cookies, crocheting baby blankets and her strong Catholic faith. She was deeply loved by her family and will be deeply missed by so many.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 15th at St. Charles Borromeo with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Private family burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
