Anthony Smith Obituary

Anthony Michael Smith,

was a man who loved a lot more than he showed. He passed away on April 17th at 8:47 p.m. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born September 2nd, 1967, he was fifty years old.

Tony went to Totino-Grace High School and then to the United States Air Force. He was extremely passionate about music, videogames, his work and his family and friends. He loved to work hard at his projects and do them with those around him; although, sometimes it seemed like he didn’t want your help.

He is with his mother (Kathy) now; or possibly trying to hide from her.

Tony loved to be alone, but never truly liked to be by himself. He leaves behind a whole plethora (Tony always loved to use big words) of people who love him: his wonderful wife of 29 years, Tammy Michelle (Jensen) Smith; his father, William Smith; his sister, Victoria and Daniel Sheehan; his children, Jonathan and Sarah Smith; grandchildren: Ethan and Anna, William Smith II, Thomas and Krystal Smith, Brody, Elizabeth Smith and fiancé James Berner III; his lifelong friends and Mobile members, Robert Loso and Paul Rosemeyer. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, family friends on both sides of the family. Honestly, we are glad we are not being charged by the line for this. Tony also had many foster siblings that are a part of the family, like Julia Jensen and Nicole Chase. We know Tony touched many, many lives. More than probably a lot of us know. We encourage all who have been affected by his love to come. All are welcome.

Tony believed in not inconveniencing others, so we hope you can make it on Monday, April 23rd starting at 5:00 p.m. with socialization. The actual service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Followed by snacks and coffee.

To leave you with a smile: one of Tony’s favorite quotes is from the movie Tommy Boy: “A lot of people go to college for seven years.” “Yeah, they’re called doctors.”
