Anthony Michael O’Brien was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and resided with his parents, Ron and Dona O’Brien, and his two sisters, Brenda O’Brien and Megan O’Brien. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1983. He then went on to build his family of four beautiful children: Michelle, Rachel, Danielle, and Jack in New Brighton, Minnesota. He worked for the Star Tribune for many years until he decided to fulfill the love of working with his hands though construction.

Thursday night, September 14, 2017, Anthony was surrounded by the love of family and friends. He lost his final battle with lung cancer. Even in his last days, his faith stayed strong, along with his silly sense of humor. He was an honest man to say the least, who loved helping anyone in need. Anthony left a huge impression on those he touched and his spirit will carry on in the heart of everyone he knew.

Anthony was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel O’Brien.

He is survived by his children and their mother: Michelle, Danielle, & Jack O’Brien and Diane Thompson; grandchildren: Cayden, Victoria, Levi Silk, & Devyn Cotter; father, Ronald O’Brien; mother, Dona O’Brien; siblings, Brenda O’Brien and Megan O’Brien; niece, Elizabeth Poulson; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd at Church of the Ascension with visitation one hour prior being at 10:00 a.m.
